TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – VALLEY WEST HAWKS
After a season away, the Valley West Hawks sit atop the BCMML once again.
Valley West held off a late push by Cariboo to finish two points ahead of
the Cougars for first place, helped by a 3-0-1 mark against the 2017 TELUS
Cup hosts. Jordan Sourdif paced a league-leading offence (Valley West
netted 214 goals, 25 more than Cariboo), racking up 71 points (22G 49A) to
earn top spot in BCMML scoring, while Nolan Krogfoss (32-36—68) and Max
Mohagen (16-51—67) finished third and fourth, respectively. Josh Dias was a
rock on the back-end, topping the league in goals-against average (2.27)
and co-leading in wins (23); the Hawks allowed just 106 goals, easily the
best mark in the BCMML.
