TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – TORONTO YOUNG NATIONALS
For the fifth time in six seasons the Toronto Young Nationals reigned atop
the GTHL, finishing with a six-point cushion on the Mississauga Rebels
(last year’s TELUS Cup bronze medallists) and Vaughan Kings. The Young
Nationals started fast, winning their first six games, and did the most
damage in the middle of their schedule, going 14 games without a loss
(12-0-2) between Nov. 11 and Jan. 9. Toronto had the No. 1 offence in the
GTHL, scoring 3.88 goals per game, and their defence was second-best,
giving up 1.58 goals per contest.
